Job Description:
Responsible for the engineering and design of complete automotive seats which includes Structures, mechanisms, foam and plastics. Design and development of complete seats from concept through production release including the design, development support, testing support, validation and development of new systems including seat Adjusters, Recliners, Head Restraints, Lumbar Mechanisms, Seat back latches, floor latches, etc.
Responsibilities:
The engineer will be responsible for complete product design in Cad (Unigraphics) / Work together with a team of Product Engineers and Design Engineers. The activities include:
- Develop functional requirements, perform Benchmarking.
- Concept development for mechanisms and structures to meet the functional requirement.
- Packaging studies, Feasibility studies, Environment studies, safety and regulatory studies, Design for Manufacture and assembly etc using Unigraphics NX5 or later.
- Evaluate seat & mechanism kinematics, FEA analysis, and interpret results.
- Support Prototyping and product validation testing.
- Design Optimization for weight, cost and part count.
- Create drawings and apply GD&T, Critical and Significant Characteristics.
- Create Engineering documents like BOM's, Open issues lists, Mass & strength calculations, DFMEA, DVP&R and so on.
- Perform tolerance studies and assembly stack evaluations.
The engineering deliverables includes product design, CAD Models, drawings, product specification, analysis, DFMEA, DVP&R, functional objectives, Pugh analysis, root cause analysis, Best Practices, benchmarking information etc.
Education & Skills:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Unigraphics NX5 or later versions

Experience:
- 5 to 10 years experience in seating systems
Job Description:
- Develop new product lines in In-Line-Compounding (ILC) or Direct-Long Fiber Technology (D-LFT) processes for Polypropylene and high temperature thermoplastics composites processes for compression molding, injection molding and transfer injection molding
- Develop new applications for automotive, commercial and heavy truck industry; manage budget for product and process development
- Develop new product lines (UV resistant, scratch resistant, high strength, high flow and heat stabilized systems) in ILC process
- Design underbody shields, Front End Carriers, Truck Boxes, Lift Gates and Hybrid systems for Thermoplastics composites
- Work with automotive OEM's on approval of material and process
- Establish and develop test methods for newly developed composites materials
- Develop new sources for raw materials and equipments
- Support product design and product launch of Exterior automotive parts including Fascia, Wheel liners, Grills and Exterior ornamentation
Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Polymer Science & Technology or Mechanical Engineering (will accept equivalent foreign degree)
- Minimum Five (5) years of experience

Job Description:
- Product engineering, New Product development, Design and development of Structural parts and Mechanisms for Seating systems
- Provide Engineering support for the Prototype development and Testing
- Create and maintain Engineering documentation, Manage issues list, process documents.
- Interface with the Suppliers and Customer Engineering
- Hand calculations, basic FEA, Engineering studies etc.
- Generation of CAD models and Drawings in Catia /Unigraphics
Qualification:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 6-8 years of related experience
- Product engineering experience on Seating Systems
- Able to analyze and provide solutions for complex Engineering problems
- Knowledge about product validation, DVP, DFMEA, GD&T, etc
- Good communication skills
